Smile of the Month
Our life changing smile of the month is a beautiful 17 year old young lady from Oklahoma. Jessica is a very beautiful and special child who was born missing her small front upper teeth and her larger canine teeth drifted into the front spaces. Jessica has a genetic disorder where all her teeth did not come in. She went through two years of braces and numerous other procedures.
She has always been very shy to smile because of her teeth. She wanted to have her teeth fixed so she set out on the pursuit of finding the perfect dental office.
She is a competitive rodeo barrel racer and loves horses. She has committed a lot of her life to this competition and is very successful. Jessica has become a very responsible young lady through the time, patience, and energy it takes to care for her horses. She is currently competing on three horses: CJ Dash, Doc's Midnight Rider, and My Dad's the Bully. We have connected a rodeo of one of her races for review.
Her smile has always made her feel self conscience and her mom says it created a shy child that was more of an introvert that spent most of her time with horses rather than friends and other teenagers. Over the years her lips would hide her inadequate smile and effect the way she would interact with others (or not interact). She was able to express her competitive aggressiveness and energy through barrel racing.
This young lady would dream of a perfect smile for years and began to do cosmetic dentistry research. Her folks had told her at age 17 she could "fix her smile." She spent years dreaming of a great smile and hundreds of hours researching who she would trust to convert her smile. After her research Jessica walked up to her mom and said "Mom I've found the one to fix my smile! Look mom, how can we go wrong, it looks like a castle!"
We feel so blessed that she chose us! She even wants to become a cosmetic dentist! She came to Plano and 2 months later we not only changed her smile but we changed her life! Her mom says her personality changed in one day! She went to her first High School football game in 3 years and an all night church youth rally! Everyone asks "why are you smiling all the time?" She even came around her last barrel race and went by her mom and said "mom, I haven't felt this good in years!"
We are blessed that the Lord sent her our way. She is so beautiful and polite that she has been an inspiration to Dr. Beougher and staff. It is great to be able to change lives with the power of a great smile!
